33rd Annual Function Celebrated at Umrangso
Umrangso 11th May 2019: Smt. Jamuna Devi Saraswati Vidya Mandir School celebrated its 33rd Foundation Day cum Annual Function at the village Community Hall at Langcherui Village, Umrangso.
The programme was started with the lightening of lamp in front of the portrait of Maa Saraswati followed by Vandana and welcome speech by Pradhanacharya Sri Lalji Sonari. Students took participation in various cultural programmes like Karbi, Dimasa, Assamese, Bengali, Nepali, Tea Tribal and patriotic dance performances with full enthusiasm.
Yoga Dance programme presented by hostel students was the main attraction of the function. Sri Pranjit Pujari, Asstt. Secretary of Vidya Bharati Purvottar Janajati Shiksha Samiti was the Chief Guest of the programme,delivered his speech highlighting the various efforts done by the Vidya Bharati in North East Region.
Sri Montuing Jemi another Office bearer of Vidya Bharati, Sri Manohar Singh, Asstt. Commandant, SSB, Sri P.N. Chakrovorty, the Unit Head of Dalmia Bharat Cement, Umrangso Unit, were also addressed the mass regarding education.
The programme was concluded with national anthem.
